A Virginia native and the son of a single mother, I grew up traveling a lot as my mom was a government employee. I had the privilege of growing up in multiple countries in Europe well into my teens before settling in the Atlanta area to finish high school and go to college.
While my grandparents were entrepreneurs, I never really learned from them about what it meant to be a business owner, so I grew up thinking (like most people do) that the way of the world was to go to school, get a good job, and build a regular life for myself. While this led to a stable  career in physical rehabilitation, it didn't leave me with any sense of who I was and what brought me joy.
After realizing healthcare was taking on too much of a quantity over quality persona, I walked away from it to go into the medical sales world where I started my first business at 32. I swore I would never go back (money was a strong motivator then) to being a provider again, BUT like most things, I should've never said, "never."
After good success in my first business I had the opportunity to build an all cash practice with an MD I had previously worked with. This practice would combine regenerative medicine & stem cell therapy, physical rehabilitation & personal fitness. Man oh man, I had no idea that I was about to embark on the ultimate journey of self-discovery. I learned that once you step into who you really are, there's no going back.
While that practice was wildly successful and we sold it in 2023 for multiple 7 figures, it wasn't without its struggles and plethora of lessons. After all, you don't know what you don't know until you step out there and start experiencing what it means to run your own brick and mortar practice.
I've spent countless hours and dollars honing my skills as a business owner in the private healthcare space and my main motivation for helping other entrepreneurs is directly tied to the simple fact that healthcare consumers deserve better from the healthcare system in this country.Â
Also, healthcare providers deserve to be able to run a successful business without the restrictions that insurance reimbursements put on their skill sets.Â
